Griffon Hoverwork will be exhibiting at Euronaval 2024 from 4-7 November 2024

Griffon Hoverwork is proud to announce that it has signed the Armed Forces Covenant, a national pledge to support the Armed Forces community.

Adrian Went, Managing Director at Griffon Hoverwork explains: “I was honoured by Commodore John Voyce’s visit to join me in signing the Armed Forces Covenant which allows us to formalise our recognition and gratitude for the Armed Forces community and also gives us access to a pool of talent with a wealth of skills and experience that would be a huge asset to any business. We already employ ex-members of the armed forces and reservists within our workforce and work closely with the military across a number of ongoing projects.

The covenant is our pledge to continue to support the employment of veterans and their partners, as well as encouraging reserve service within our teams. Integrating more veterans as they transition to employment in civilian life would greatly benefit the company and help progress our vision going forward.”

The signing ceremony took place at Griffon Hoverwork’s manufacturing facility in Trafalgar Wharf, Portchester where the Commodore was given a tour of the craft currently under construction including projects for the UK military and the Polish Border Guard and the latest model of Griffon’s new class of LCAC (Landing craft air cushion), The Wyvern.

Commodore John Voyce added: “Thank you Griffon Hoverwork for signing the Armed Forces Covenant and showing your support for the Armed Forces, Veterans and their families. It was fascinating to visit your company and meet your veterans to see for myself what a benefit they bring to your company as well as the excellent craft you produce. It was a pleasure to formalise that recognition and gratitude for the Armed Forces community with you.”

The Covenant aims to encourage local communities to support the service community, promote understanding and awareness among the public issues affecting the Armed Forces community and encourage activities which help to integrate people returning from the Armed Forces into local life. Griffon Hoverwork will now look to list all future job vacancies on the Forces Families Job website and will display the Armed Forces Covenant charter mark on their website.
