As part of their ongoing training the Korea Coast Guard conducted an aircraft crash rescue scenario, using the BHT 150 to represent the stranded aircraft.

The Coast Guards 3 x 8000TD hovercraft were then used to rescue the passengers and take them to safety.

This was the first plane crash simulation exercise bringing together the different rescue organisations, including rescue helicopters, ships and medical agencies. By conducting regular, practical training exercises of this nature increases the chances of a smooth rescue operation.

News footage of the training exercise can be found on YTN's website.
